Spell check or no spell check?

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

I got a new cell phone about a month ago and I really love it.  The only thing I'm not loving is the spell check.  And how it always thinks it know what I want to say, when clearly, it does not.

Case in point:

This is the text I intended to send to Joey:
Our appt is in an hour and a half.  Can you make it??

This is what my phone sent him:
Our appt is in an boy and a half.  Can you make it??

WHAT??  Um, no.  But nice try.

Then there was this:

This is the text I intended to send to Joey:
I'm sick.  I need cozy jammies and cozy bed.  Oh and cozy hubby.

This is what my phone sent him:
I'm sick.  I need cozy jammies and cozy bed.  Oh and cozy hobby.

Again, no.

And then there are some really funny ones that my mom sent my dad (from her iPhone) that just can't be repeated on my blog.  And they weren't meant like that at all!

So, what has your phone said for you?  Do tell!

Oh I hate my phone's spell check! It will even correct words that I have spelled correctly. Very annoying!

my iphone sent the word C*NT to my 14 year old niece instead of Can't! LORDY BE!

My iPhone took some adjusting when I got it but I've learned to double check messages before I send them... I learned the hard way after my phone sent some messages that were slightly questionable which was not at all what I intended!

let's get acquainted

I’m Stephanie - wife to one extremely handsome cop; mother to two extremely silly kids. The hubs and I have been married since February ’99. I love him more each day and simply can’t get enough of him. My daughter, Ashton, is 12 going on 17. She’s beautiful, creative, smart, and oh, so sassy. Taylor, our son, is 8 and is so much like his daddy it’s scary. He makes me laugh all the time with the silly things he says and does. He won’t remember what you told him 5 minutes from now, just like his daddy. I love to laugh and spend time with friends and family. I’ve also recently discovered a love for cooking and enjoy sharing recipes. I love finding new blog friends, so be sure to leave a comment so I can do the same!
