Last week I was at HEB with the kids when Ashton had a brilliant idea... she wanted to have a lemonade stand! Part of her great idea was that she wanted to sell the lemonade for $5 a cup, but I quickly gave her a lesson in economics and supply and demand and we negotiated the price down to a fair $.25 a cup.
Anyway, on to the story... since the kids stay at Memaw's on Friday nights I suggested that she have her stand at Memaw's on Saturday. I thought they would have more traffic than us since we live in a cul-de-sac, but my heart broke when Ashton called me at 1pm and asked me to come buy a glass of lemonade. That's when she told me that they had had no customers all morning. Now how sad is that for my little entrepreneur? Of course I jumped in the car, with all the spare change I could find, and drove straight over to buy some lemonade.
I certainly wish more people had stopped - as you can see, she's quite the greeter!
Taylor was the entertainment, with his new bubble wand. He had a great time showing me the HUGE bubbles that thing would produce.
He wanted to make sure he got in on the lemonade action when I showed up.
